Ask AI Filter Bar

notion image
The Ask AI filter bar is a small Nobi box inside your own filter panel on collection and category pages. A shopper describes what they are looking for in plain words, such as "black ostrich boots in size 9", and Nobi ticks the filters that match. Your page then shows the results the way it always does.
Nobi only ever chooses from the values your panel already offers. It reads the headings and options straight off the page, so nothing has to be configured per store and nothing goes stale when your catalog changes.
This is not the chat assistant. It never opens the chat modal, it starts no conversation, and it shows no products of its own.

Key Benefits

  • Fewer clicks to the right products: A shopper who wants something specific can say it once, instead of working through several filter groups to find it.
  • Your filters stay in charge: Nobi can only pick values your page offers, so it cannot invent a filter or empty a shopper's results with something your catalog does not have.
  • Your page keeps its behavior: Results render in your own product grid, so your sorting, paging, and product counts are unaffected.
  • Handles ranges and exclusions: "Sizes 8 to 9" selects the half sizes in between. "Boots that aren't black" selects every other color you offer, because a storefront cannot filter for the absence of something.
  • Works on phones: The box sits in your filter drawer, and the drawer closes itself once the filters are applied so the shopper lands back on the products.

Beta Product Set Up

Ask AI in Filters is currently in beta. Nobi's team will need to manually set up this feature, including placing the box inside your filter panel and connecting it to the way your page applies filters. If you're interested in trying it out, contact Nobi's team for more information.
