Conversations

Every back and forth between a visitor and Nobi shows up on the Conversations page. Use it to read full transcripts, see which surface a visitor came in through, and quickly narrow down to the conversations you care about.

How to get there

In your Nobi dashboard, expand the Visitors section in the left navigation and click Conversations.

What you see

notion image
The page is organized as a single table, with one row per conversation. Each row shows:
  • Visitor: Nobi’s unique ID assigned for the visitor.
  • Entry point: the surface the conversation started on (AI Search Bar, Floating Chat Bar, Cart, PDP, and so on). Shows a dash for older conversations recorded before this attribution was tracked. Only shown when you use more than one entry point.
  • First message: a short preview of the first thing the visitor said.
  • Started / Last message: when the conversation began and when the most recent turn happened.
  • Messages: how many visible turns are in the transcript.
Clicking any row opens a flyout with the full transcript, including the assistant's responses, any product collections shown, and a copy button for the conversation id.

Filtering

A Filters card sits above the table with three controls:

Min messages

Hides conversations with fewer visible turns than the threshold. Set to 1 by default so single-message dropoffs do not crowd the view; raise it when you only want to see real back and forth.

Search-only conversations

For merchants who use the AI Search Bar or Legacy Search Bar, a single search query that ends without further conversation still produces a row. This filter controls whether those rows appear:
  • Hide: leave them out (default).
  • Show: include them alongside full conversations.
  • Show only: list nothing but search-only rows.
This filter only appears for merchants whose site has a search-mode entry point. Pure chat or product-recommendation surfaces never produce search-only rows, so the control is hidden for them.

Entry points

For merchants that use multiple entry points, a multi-select filter is available that restricts the table to conversations from one or more surfaces. Useful for questions like "how is my Floating Chat Bar performing?" or "what are people doing through the AI Search Bar specifically?". Leaving it empty includes every entry point.
The total conversation count in the top-right of the page always reflects the active filters.

Reading a conversation

Clicking a row opens a side flyout with:
  • The visitor's shopper id and the entry point at the top.
  • The full message transcript in chronological order, with the same product cards, links, and formatting the visitor saw.
  • A small copy button next to the conversation id, useful for sharing a specific conversation with your team or pasting into a support ticket.
System prompts are never shown; only the messages your visitor actually saw appear in the transcript.
